Our take on CrossCraze
The defining format is a crossword board game that combines standard adjacent placement with a Tile Stacking mode, where new letters can cover existing tiles.
What is CrossCraze?
CrossCraze is a crossword board game for solo play against a computer opponent or pass-and-play matches on the same PC.
Players place letters to form crossing words and use bonus squares to increase scores. The game includes 10 computer skill levels, 9 languages, 2 modes, and 28 board layouts ranging from 15x15 to 21x21 squares. Standard mode requires new letters to connect to existing ones, while Tile Stacking mode allows tiles to be placed over previous tiles. A flexible vocabulary option permits custom word lists, and teacher mode shows the strongest available move. Hints can reveal a complete word or indicate where to search.
