Our take on CreatorCrate
Instead of limiting platforming to fixed jumps and direct attacks, the game makes its robot arm a general-purpose tool for movement, combat, and object manipulation. Its rotating station also replaces flat-stage layouts with curved surfaces, changing gravity, and zero-gravity traversal.
What is CreatorCrate?
CreatorCrate is a 3D action platformer with roguelike elements, set inside a massive rotating space station.
The robot prototype uses a grabby arm to seize objects, block bullets, swing from fixtures, throw enemies, and navigate acid, lasers, turrets, and shifting gravity. It can print firearms, humans, and repair material from gathered biological matter. Encounters support different approaches, including disabling security cameras, melting through floors, luring robots into pits, hiding, and carrying humans. Areas can use checkpoints, while a separate permadeath mode raises the challenge. Procedural generation changes each attempt. The regular game averages 4–6 hours, with additional challenge modes.
How CreatorCrate plays
- 01Improvised Combat

- 02Matter Printing

- 03Variable Gravity
- The station includes low-gravity movement, zero-gravity traversal, wall running, and firearm recoil propulsion.
- 04Procedural Runs
- Procedural generation changes the action between attempts after death.
- 05Permadeath Mode
- A separate mode makes each failed run end permanently.
