Our take on Contract
Rather than limiting progression to shooting, the game adds door-access puzzles through security-panel hacking and ties equipment upgrades to contract earnings. Its side-scrolling action is therefore structured around combat, access obstacles, and a 20-mission kidnapping plot.
What is Contract?
Play a man forced into assassination after his brother is kidnapped.
Move through side-scrolling levels filled with armed guards, private security, dogs, security systems, and other obstacles while pursuing assigned targets. Combat includes different enemy types, and progress also requires locating security panels to open doors controlled by security grids. Money earned from contracts can be spent on weapon and clothing upgrades as missions become more difficult. The campaign contains 20 missions and gradually reveals more about the kidnapping. An option to skip story sequences is included through repeated ENTER presses.
How Contract plays
- 01Twenty-Mission Campaign
- The story follows the kidnapping of the protagonist’s brother across 20 missions.
- 02Security Hacking
- Finding control panels opens doors connected to locked security grids.
- 03Gear Upgrades
- Contract earnings can fund improvements to weapons and clothing as difficulty increases.
- 04Multiple Enemy Types
- Levels combine armed guards, private security forces, dogs, and other threats.
