The rescue objective is not a one-way trip: finding the kidnapped partner leaves a return journey to complete. That gives the mission a two-part structure within randomized, persistent open levels rather than a fixed sequence of stages.
What is Colt Canyon?
Colt Canyon is a 2D pixel-art shooter with real-time combat and roguelike elements.
Players control a cowboy or another unlockable character, using guns and TNT to cross a hostile canyon and rescue a kidnapped partner from bandits. The levels are randomized, persistent, and open, with weapons, obstacles, and hidden treasures along the way. Finding the partner does not end the mission: the player must also get back home. Runs can include rescuing other people, fighting bosses, using stealth, or working with AI companions. The game includes more than 100 weapons, unlockable characters, upgrades, and starting loadouts. Players can adjust difficulty, save and continue at any time, or enable optional permadeath. Local co-op is also available.
