Our take on Coinon
The timer and declining energy impose clear limits on each level, leaving less room for unhurried exploration. Food pickups add an energy concern, but the main task remains collecting every coin before a game-over condition is reached.
What is Coinon?
Coinon is a time-limited collection game set in a cartoon town.
Each level requires collecting all available coins to complete it and advance. The timer counts down during play, and reaching its end causes a game over. Energy also decreases over time, creating a second failure condition. Food pickups provide energy during a level. Some stages add time to the countdown as progression continues. The central loop is to move through the town, collect coins, pick up food when needed, and finish the level before either the timer or energy reaches its limit.
How Coinon plays
- 01Timed Levels
- Some stages add time to the countdown, while reaching the timer limit causes a game over.
- 02Food Pickups
- Food items provide energy during each town-based level.
- 03Coin Collection
- A level is completed by gathering all of its coins.
- 04Energy Limit
- Energy decreases over time, and reaching zero causes a game over.
