COGEN is a side-scrolling 2D action game set in the remains of Cogen City, once Kohaku Otori’s home and now a collapsing ruin.
After awakening on a steel floor, Kohaku joins ExeBreaker, a talking sword, and travels into the city to discover what happened there. Any hit causes death, but the Ouroboros System activates at that moment and can reverse time by up to three seconds. Players can use this ability to retry actions, experiment, and develop their skills while dealing with traps and groups of enemies. The game combines combat challenges with a story about Kohaku’s investigation of the transformed city. The cast includes Kohaku, ExeBreaker, Akasha, Hugo, Yuji Otori, and Mimori Otori.
