Games support single-player, cooperative, and competitive multiplayer for up to 20 civilizations, with maps from 100x100 to 500x500 tiles. Six tutorials introduce the full version.
The game also supports custom music playlists, text and language modifications, and in-game Workshop modifications. Multiplayer connections can use LAN, the internet, listed servers, or direct host connections, including between Steam and non-Steam distributions. A single-player demo covers the first settlement advancement over 185 turns, with up to 11 civilizations and maps from 100x100 to 120x120 tiles.
