Our take on Chronotopia: Second Skin
The defining structure is Kionna’s endless time loop: each attempt to escape her fate sends the princess back into the nightmare, turning the fairytale journey into a race against death.
What is Chronotopia: Second Skin?
Follow Princess Kionna after her father tries to force her into marriage.
With help from her childhood friend and a reluctant fairy godmother, she enters a repeating nightmare where time turns back as she races against death. The story reworks the Donkeyskin fairytale as a darker Cinderella variation, combining existential dread, unexpected turns, romance, and a search for identity. Players can choose among two GxG romances and one GxB romance, with several possible endings. The game contains over 200,000 words and offers 20–30 hours of playtime. Its presentation uses animated backgrounds, stained-glass artwork, cinematic scenes, and an original Celtic-influenced soundtrack. Unlockable archives connect the narrative with European folklore, while several gameplay phases depict its semi-realistic medieval setting.
