Our take on Chores of Corruption
Rather than presenting a fixed weapon path, the game makes each wave a build decision: three cards determine equipment and upgrades, while earlier selections alter later offers. Its corruption mechanic also changes the run's conditions instead of leaving the arena structure static.
What is Chores of Corruption?
This game presents short, top-down runs in an arena where successive enemy waves must be defeated.
Select a character, assemble weapons and items, gather experience, and choose upgrades that shape the current attempt. Once a wave ends, pick one of three cards offering equipment, passive effects, or enhancements for existing gear; these decisions can alter the selection pool that follows. Weapons may aim automatically, while bosses use different mechanics and the corruption system modifies play. Achievements provide progression by opening access to characters, weapons, and items. The Early Access launch includes one stage with seven layouts, six characters, two bosses, 23 monsters, 51 items, 17 upgradeable weapons, 11 character traits, and 80 achievements. Controls support mouse, keyboard, and gamepads.
