Our take on Chess3D
Chess3D keeps the familiar chess match at its center but departs from a plain board presentation. Its rotatable 3D view, animated pieces, themed environments, and ability to knock pieces off the board add visual spectacle around the standard game.
What is Chess3D?
Chess3D offers chess games against computer opponents at different difficulty levels, alongside tools for viewing and analyzing famous matches.
The 3D board can be rotated and zoomed, with different board designs and piece sets to choose from. Some sets animate their pieces in themed scenes, including a dungeon, medieval setting, and graveyard; pieces can also be knocked from the board. Several chess engines are included, and additional engines can be added if they support the UCI protocol. The game includes hundreds of historical matches that can be watched and continued from any point. Players can import more games in PGN format and play network matches over a local network or the Internet.
