Our take on Catacomb Kids
Instead of treating dungeon rooms as fixed combat arenas, the game turns the environment into part of the attack plan. Monsters can be redirected into one another, hazards can finish fights, and crafting happens inside the play space rather than through a separate menu routine.
What is Catacomb Kids?
Catacomb Kids is a platformer roguelike set in procedurally generated dungeons beneath a buried fortress.
Players fight creatures with swords, spears, axes, daggers, and magic that can burn, freeze, or poison enemies. Platforming, quick reactions, tactical encounters, and character development all shape each run. Traps and environmental hazards can be used against foes, including by drawing monsters into fights with one another. Items and tools can be made directly within the game world rather than by collecting materials separately or working through a menu. The setting follows children entering the Catacombs for reasons including wealth, power, knowledge, escape, ceremonies, and criminal sentences, while an old demon legend remains beneath the fortress.
