Rather than presenting a case through a sequence of scenes, CaseCracker makes database searches the main investigative action. Progress depends on finding and linking text fragments, giving the mystery a search-led structure.
What is CaseCracker?
CaseCracker is a text-based deduction game centered on investigative database searches.
Players use keywords to find leads, then sort and connect fragments such as receipts, item descriptions, crime-scene material, and interrogation records. Some clues depend on earlier discoveries: finding a shipping-label number can open a path to delivery information. Built-in clue categories and a notepad support evidence organization, while the system can provide hints in exchange for Detective Points. The main storyline provides the core case, while finding all clues reveals additional plot details. Closing a case unlocks an official review of its reasoning. As the first game in the CaseCracker series, it also connects separate cases through a shared hidden thread.
