Our take on Caribbean Odyssey
Its episodic structure makes the game an introduction to Henry Morgan’s larger story rather than a complete saga. The focus on setting and plot leaves less room for the listing to establish broader gameplay systems such as crafting or character progression.
What is Caribbean Odyssey?
In this 2.
5D Caribbean adventure, Captain Henry Morgan’s story opens in Port Royal in 1655, where he visits Merry Carleton. He has just returned from Panama, but Britain and Spain had made peace before his campaign there. The Crown brands him a pirate and outlaw, leaving him pursued by its justice and Spanish forces. As Morgan escapes Port Royal, his route takes him through tropical forests, underground passages, fortified interiors, island settings and busy towns. Loyalty, love, betrayal and revenge shape the tale, while a rumored City of Gold draws the Crown and Spaniards into the hunt. This first chapter begins a longer story about Morgan’s conflict with Governor Thomas Modyford, the British Crown and Spain.
