Our take on Carebotz
The emphasis on secrets, upgrades, and varied equipment can suggest an expansive adventure, but the stated average gameplay session is approximately 12–14 hours. The exploration and customization therefore sit within a relatively contained experience.
What is Carebotz?
Carebotz combines arena shooting with metroidvania elements.
Players control BIBZ, a maintenance droid exploring tight factory corridors, dangerous obstacles, and areas containing secrets. Progress involves collecting blueprints, investigating levels, managing energy, repairing and upgrading the droid, and customizing a toolset of weapons and tools. Gravity and a hover engine affect movement, while different equipment combinations provide distinct play styles. The factory contains varied enemy types and hazards, with patience and exploration required in some sections. The vendor gives an average gameplay session of approximately 12–14 hours. Carebotz is the first game from Glasscannon Studio, a solo development studio founded by Peter Takacs.
