Our take on CARDMON
Rather than presenting monster battles as a standalone sequence, CARDMON connects them to regional exploration, creature capture, and a card diary. Its progression also frames the journey around becoming a local champion, with battles against both carders and wild creatures.
What is CARDMON?
Play as a 12-year-old who sets out to become the Regional Cardmaster after being kicked out of home.
Explore the TOJO region, including its cities, caves, and Mount OMI, and meet people along the way. Capture wild Cardmon, fill in a card diary, and assemble a team for turn-based combat. Battles against carders can train the team, while encounters with wild Cardmon offer a chance to capture new members. Opponent weaknesses matter, and a type chart is available to check them. The journey leads toward challenges against the region’s Local Cardmasters. The game combines exploration and monster collecting with tactical battles, rather than focusing on a single tournament or a fixed sequence of fights.
