Our take on Cannibals
Its choice-driven storytelling gives up a fixed narrative path: some developments displease the daughter, so the framing device requires parts of the tale to be retold.
What is Cannibals?
Follow Richard Hoffman, a detective recounting his encounter with a cannibal family operating in a local forest.
After Hoffman barely survives their first meeting, police take him to the cannibals' lair, where the investigation becomes the start of a larger ordeal. The game combines quests and puzzles with evasion, as cannibals repeatedly pursue the player. Events can also be viewed through the eyes of captives who were there before. A story thread involving Paley the pig appears during the tale. Player actions control how the story develops, and some outcomes displease the daughter hearing it, prompting the father to retell parts of the account.
