What is Bundle of Joy?
Bundle of Joy is a short narrative game about becoming a new father during the spring of 2020.
Each day combines child-care minigames, including diaper changes, nail clipping, and highchair cleanup, with stress management. Completing tasks can raise stress, while downtime with the character’s partner provides opportunities to recover and explore feelings such as doubt, guilt, isolation, and obligation. Stress-related failures do not end the game. The structure covers five days, with progress recorded in a journal and a randomly assigned condition starting each day. The game includes more than 15 possible child-rearing challenges, narrative vignettes, and stress-relieving rewards.
