Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a long-form story or a single continuous adventure may find the lesson-based structure limited

- Players who do not enjoy replaying lessons for higher star scores may have little reason to repeat completed tasks
Our take on Bug Academy
Instead of centering action on a single character with weapons, the game assigns tasks to coordinated insect swarms. Its lesson-and-exam structure replaces the usual campaign progression, while ordinary objects such as fridges, vacuums and chili sauce become tools for solving scenarios.
What is Bug Academy?
Bug Academy is an action game built around directing swarms of insects through more than 30 lessons and exercises.
Tasks include moving fridges, herding cows, constructing towers, working in mines, catching ghosts, stealing diamonds, launching rockets, painting, firefighting and delivering pizzas. Four insect types provide different abilities: flies work in large groups, fireflies illuminate dark areas, mosquitoes drink and spray liquids with different effects, and bees follow commands from their Queen. Lessons award up to three stars, with achievements and global leaderboards tracking performance. Stars can unlock hats for customizing the insects. The settings use small dioramas made from materials such as cardboard, clay, wool and matchsticks, while the soundtrack includes more than a dozen songs performed on small instruments.
