Our take on Breakneck City
Urban scenery is not just background here: poles, bins, windows, and elevated positions become attack opportunities. That emphasis on using the surroundings gives the familiar beat ’em up structure a more interactive combat layout.
What is Breakneck City?
Breakneck City is a six-stage 3D brawler that follows Sidney Flintlock and Justine Jacobs from urban streets through a dance venue and up into a high-rise.
They battle rival gangs and powerful bosses after their favored video store becomes the target of an arson attack. Fighting combines punches, kicks, evasive moves, weapons collected during stages, and objects in the surroundings. Characters can use lamp posts for swinging attacks, knock opponents into dumpsters or through glass, and launch downward strikes from elevated positions. The game features low-polygon visuals, pixel-based textures, and cooperative play for two participants. Its progression moves from ground-level areas toward the skyscrapers while enemy groups grow more formidable.
