Our take on Breaking Good
Rather than using a fixed set of levels or a single board perspective, the game makes chemical targets the progression structure. Element replacement after each completed goal preserves prior matching opportunities, while four views and row rotation add spatial planning to a casual matching format.
What is Breaking Good?
Breaking Good is a chemical-compound puzzle game presented through four views of the same board.
Players swap a block vertically, rotate a full horizontal row, or shuffle the layout to create matches. A match requires at least three blocks and produces atoms according to its size: three blocks yield one atom, while larger matches produce increasing amounts. Goals specify the atoms needed for compounds such as water. Players track total score, the latest match score, and the best combo score, with simultaneous matches increasing the score multiplier. After a goal is completed, a new target appears and element blocks are replaced while existing matching opportunities are preserved. The game includes more than 900 possible compounds.
How Breaking Good plays
- 01Four Board Views
- The puzzle shows four perspectives so available blocks across the board can be inspected.
- 02Multiple Board Moves
- Players can shift one block, turn a horizontal line, or randomize the arrangement.
- 03Compound Goals
- Targets require collecting specified atom quantities, such as hydrogen and oxygen for water.
- 04Combo Scoring
- The total combines atom values with the number of simultaneous matches.
- 05900-plus Compounds
- Progress can lead to more than 900 different chemical compounds.
