Our take on Bounce
The defining structure is a 50-level VR labyrinth where a spherical robot reaches each room’s exit portal by using physics gadgets.
What is Bounce?
Bounce is a virtual-reality puzzle game using physics, available for HTC’s Vive headset and Oculus Touch controllers.
Players direct D1G-B, a round robotic companion, through chambers inside a galactic spacecraft until reaching each chamber’s portal. Routes feature hazards such as moving barriers, beams, gravity effects, and stacked floors. Tools including half-pipes, boards, speed rings, trampolines, and tractor beams let players assemble solutions. Fifty stages become progressively more complex, with stars awarded according to solving efficiency. Finishing the game opens Style Mode, where creative complexity determines scores. This mode offers worldwide rankings and comparisons with Steam friends. Three separate in-game profiles can keep individual star results.
How Bounce plays
- 01Physics gadgets
- Players use tools such as planks, trampolines, accelerator rings, and tractor beams to move D1G-B through each level.
- 02Style Mode
- Completing the game unlocks a mode that scores creative complexity instead of solving efficiency.
- 03Score comparisons
- Style Mode scores can be compared through global leaderboards and with Steam friends.
- 04Multiple profiles
- The game supports up to 3 in-game profiles for storing separate star scores.
