Our take on BOSSGARD
Rather than casting every participant as an equal combatant, the game makes one player the oversized Boss and assigns the others to a cooperative Viking team. That reversal changes the usual multiplayer objective: one side manages traps and powers while the other relies on coordinated support abilities.
What is BOSSGARD?
BOSSGARD is an asymmetric multiplayer game built around battles between one player-controlled Boss and a team of Vikings.
Matches support up to six players through online or local multiplayer, including mixed local-and-online play. Boss players select from distinct characters and use attacks, traps, minions, and special powers. Viking players cooperate by combining abilities such as healing, shielding, buffs, and turrets, while also choosing a Rage attack. Bots can fill matches, with adjustable difficulty. Arenas feature different themes, soundtracks, hazards, and a Boss-controlled trap. Stream-specific mechanics let viewers join battles, damage combatants, assist a side, or deploy minions. The game supports keyboard and mouse or gamepad controls.
