ActionIs Blastercell worth it for you?
We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Arcade shooter fans who prefer short, score-focused runs over story-driven campaigns
- Players who enjoy managing a resource while fighting, rather than focusing only on combat
- VR players seeking a space shooter with seated and standing play options
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players looking for a story campaign or a defined ending may find the endless arcade structure limiting.
- Those who prefer a slower pace may find the constant enemy pressure and fuel constraint hectic.
- Players seeking varied activities beyond piloting, shooting, and chasing scores may find the scope narrow.
Our take on Blastercell
Asteroids serve two roles: destroying them raises the score and supplies fuel, so the same action sustains a run while advancing its arcade objective.
What is Blastercell?
Blastercell is an arcade twin-stick shooter set in space.
Pilot a ship, move and fire in different directions, and fight waves of enemies while destroying asteroids. Asteroids provide fuel, which keeps the flight going; running out of time adds pressure to the run. Scores track progress toward unlocking ships, each with different stats and behavior. The game centers on setting a high score and comparing it with friends’ or the world’s scores. It also supports VR play while sitting or standing, and recommends a controller.
