Our take on Bit Shifter
The defining mechanic pairs piloting the Scandisc with managing Bits on the ground: the ship fights and relocates units, while the Bits combat the advancing Virus before it reaches the Data Stream.
What is Bit Shifter?
Bit Shifter is a 3D action-strategy game set during a virus attack on Home World.
Players pilot the Scandisc hover ship as Flash Bios, searching for his brother Rom after Mutation Day. The ship can collect, position, and repair robotic Bits, which fight the spreading Virus. Their placement matters because unattended corruption can advance toward the Data Stream and corrupt the system. The game combines shooting with army deployment, weapons, power-ups, ship and weapon upgrades, boss battles, bonus levels, achievements, and a story with characters. It supports game controllers with first-person-style controls.

Bit Shifter compared to similar games

Anomaly: Warzone Earth also mixes action and strategy, using a reversed tower-defense formula against alien invaders. Dungeon Defenders: Awakened is described as a cooperative Action RPG and tower-defense game with loot, leveling, pets, and character customization; its stated gameplay scope differs from Bit Shifter's ship-and-Bits setup.
