Our take on Bear Adventures
The cooperative platforming focus gives up the broader systems found in larger adventure games. Its timed stages, traps, and compact objective structure leave less room for slower exploration or extensive character development.
What is Bear Adventures?
Bear Adventures is a 3D platformer in which a bear beekeeper searches for stolen honey and confronts enemies that threaten its honey production.
Players move through obstacle-filled stages, attack opponents with a Pinwheel strike, cut down trees, collect honey, and defeat animals. Levels include timed challenges for setting records, traps, and a dark stage where progress depends on finding torches before their light fades. The game supports solo play and cooperative sessions with up to four players. Its setting centers on restoring the bear’s honey operation by completing trials and returning the missing honey.
How Bear Adventures plays
- 01Four-player co-op
- Cooperative play allows a group of up to four participants to enter the levels together.
- 02Timed level runs
- Stages can be completed against the clock, with records available to set.
- 03Torch-lit stage
- One level uses temporary torchlight, requiring players to locate the next torch while navigating obstacles.
- 04Environmental obstacles
- The platforming stages include traps, trees that can be cut down, and other trials.
Bear Adventures compared to similar games
Bear Adventures combines 3D platforming, honey collection, timed stages, and cooperative play for up to four players. SUPER CHICKEN JUMPER is structured as a runner with shooting elements, while Sundered: Eldritch Edition is a chaotic metroidvania rather than a compact co-op platformer.
