Our take on Be
Its open-ended construction comes with little friction: there are currently no resource caps or building-physics limits. That supports freeform creation, but leaves less structure for players who want scarcity, engineering constraints or a progression-led building challenge.
What is Be?
Be is an exploration and construction game set in a forest biome with hills, mountains and beach areas.
Players can walk through the environment, sit beside a lake, or build structures without current resource limits or building-physics limits. Weather options include clear days, clouds, rain, storms and lightning. The day-night cycle can pass in 20 minutes, follow real time, or stop completely. Multiplayer uses peer-to-peer sessions for up to four players, including shared building. The game includes over an hour of meditative music and works on PC and VR. Oculus 2 has been used for testing. Be is in Early Access, and future updates may add more building restrictions.
