What is Battle Echoes?
Battle Echoes combines a story-driven tower defense mode with a timed survival challenge.
The campaign follows human revolutionaries resisting the Empire and alien bug warlords across five maps, with approximately 3 hours of gameplay and higher difficulty settings. Players command three human commanders, ten human unit types, and six alien bug units while selecting from 21 random skills. Some human units can be upgraded, and unit colors can be changed. The separate challenge mode generates enemies at random during a short, limited-time battle. Movement uses WASD, jumping uses Space, and skills are assigned to the 1 key. Mouse and keyboard input are supported, with settings available through the menu or the Escape key.
