Our take on Band of Defenders
The short battle format keeps each session focused on preparation and wave defense, but gives up the broader exploration and slower survival-sandbox structure found in longer-form games. Repeated sessions remain centered on the same defend-and-upgrade cycle, with difficulty and enemy sets providing variation.
What is Band of Defenders?
Band of Defenders is an online cooperative FPS for solo play or teams of up to four.
Each battle centers on protecting one object from waves of savages and mutants. After each wave, players have time to construct, repair, and upgrade barricades and automated turrets, craft weapons, and place minefields. The final wave includes an enemy boss. Battles last around 20–30 minutes and provide experience points that unlock equipment, turret upgrades, barricades, and perks. The game includes 30+ weapons, 65+ buildable structures, 10+ enemy types, 4+ maps, 3+ bosses, 4 difficulty levels, an endless mode, and 200+ visual customization items. Characters can be customized without microtransactions.
