Our take on Back to Vietnam
The listing gives equal weight to infantry weapons, vehicle battles, customization, and configurable settings, but the experience remains a single-player FPS with a compact infantry map and one large desert vehicle map. The breadth of named equipment does not indicate a broad campaign structure.
What is Back to Vietnam?
This solo FPS offers two play styles: infantry battles and vehicle combat.
On the compact infantry map, players use seven rifles or machine guns, two pistols, and a grenade. Vehicle battles feature tanks and infantry fighting vehicles, including the M1A2, M2A3, M1128, T90, 2S23, and BMP-2, viewed from either first- or third-person perspective. These battles unfold across a broad desert battlefield with several strongholds. Weapons accept scopes, silencers, and infrared devices. Their appearances can be replaced with PNG or JPG images saved on the computer. Match settings can be configured by combining options for player count, visual effects, and time-based scores.
