Play it if you…
Good fit- Motorsport fans who want to drive Brazilian racing series

- Racing enthusiasts who want changing track conditions and long-duration race cycles
Skip it if you…

- Players looking for horse, drone, or snowmobile racing rather than car motorsports
Our take on Automobilista
The wide vehicle roster comes with a demanding driving focus: older cars require clutch work or rev matching, while modern models add electronic systems. That emphasis on vehicle-specific handling leaves less room for a simplified, pick-up-and-play racing experience.
What is Automobilista?
Automobilista is a racing simulator centered on Brazilian series including Stock Car V8, Copa Petrobras de Marcas, Formula 3 Brasil, and Mitsubishi Lancer Cup, with cars and tracks from their 2015 championships.
Its vehicle selection ranges from rental karts and Formula Vee cars to rallycross vehicles, supertrucks, and endurance prototypes. Races can span 24 hours, with transitions from dusk to dawn and night. Driving systems include clutch or rev synchronization for older gearboxes and electronic controls in modern cars. Track conditions change as rubber builds along the racing line and marbles collect off it; tires can also be damaged or pick up dirt. The game includes dynamic conditions, transmission and tire modeling, and revised physics, graphics, and audio.
How Automobilista plays
- 01Changing track grip
- Rubber accumulates on the racing line while loose marbles build up away from it.
- 02Variable-length races
- A 24-hour cycle supports races that move through dusk, dawn, and nighttime.
- 03Vehicle-specific controls
- Older gearboxes require clutch use or rev matching, while newer cars use electronic systems.
- 04Tire wear effects
- Tires can sustain damage and collect dirt during driving.
