Our take on AstroWings: Space War
The defining mechanic is a spacecraft that can keep firing while rotating through 180 degrees, making attack direction part of the moment-to-moment play.
What is AstroWings: Space War?
AstroWings: Space War is a voxel-style space shooter in which players evade enemy fire and attack in return.
Its campaign covers 22 universes, with varied enemy firing patterns to observe during combat. The aircraft can shoot while turning through 180 degrees, allowing attacks from different angles. Players can improve six weapon and defense options: the standard weapon, cannon, guided missile, laser, shield, and Super Shot. Shield and Super Shot items can also be used when needed. Each stage includes three missions; the third is set at a very hard difficulty. Stars collected from missions unlock six spacecraft designs. The game follows a retro shoot-’em-up format, with tactics adjusted to each stage’s enemy patterns.
