- Players wanting genres outside action and casual arcade play may not find a suitable match.
Our take on ASTROSMASH
The bounce point arrives when targets begin moving across a wider speed range and the cannon must track them under increasing pressure. Players who prefer deliberate pacing may also hit a wall with automatic fire, hyperspace repositioning, and repeated projectile targeting.
What is ASTROSMASH?
ASTROSMASH is a space-themed shoot’em up in which a laser cannon moves left and right across a flat plane to destroy falling meteors, bombs, guided missiles, and other targets.
Objects vary in type and speed as play advances, with a UFO appearing at higher levels. The game includes 10 levels with distinct backgrounds and music. Players can fire individual shots or activate automatic fire, while hyperspace relocates the cannon to a random position. Modes include single-player, cooperative, and versus play, with local or online multiplayer for up to four players across platforms. Keyboard and joystick controls are supported. The package also includes the original 1981 Intellivision ASTROSMASH game.
