Our take on Artist Life Simulator
The central goal is not simply to produce paintings: a grand victory requires creating a work intended to change the world. That ambition sits alongside the day-to-day task of keeping the artist alive.
What is Artist Life Simulator?
This roguelite survival game follows a classical artist in an alternative 19th-century city.
Hundreds of cards represent the artist’s mind and daily life; they can be combined, collected, discussed, considered, visited, or read, producing new cards and interactions. Feelings have different effects and can worsen if left unattended, alongside challenges such as poverty, illness, and declining sanity. The artist can turn difficult experiences or pleasant emotions into paintings, then sell the work or pursue a painting intended to change the world. A life can end through different forms of permadeath, followed by an account of the artist’s life and legacy. The game includes 18 endings and an iron person mode.
