Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players who want a single, focused genre may hit a wall when switching between RTS command and FPS combat.
- Those seeking a fixed campaign structure may find changing enemy paths, resources, and base locations repetitive across runs.
- Players who want purely strategic play may not fit the direct-combat requirements of the main hybrid mode.
Our take on Artificial Extinction 2
The bounce point arrives when the game asks players to alternate between base management and direct shooting. Anyone comfortable with only one perspective may stall at the transition, especially while tracking resources, upgrades, ammunition, and incoming attacks.
What is Artificial Extinction 2?
Artificial Extinction 2 combines tower defense, real-time strategy, and first-person shooting.
Build generators, miners, and eight turret types, then improve their separate upgrade paths while extracting metal, uranium, and thorium. Energy and ammunition must be managed during attacks. A Quantum Computer opens additional turrets and FPS weapons. Players can move between an RTS view for base construction and battlefield orders and an FPS view for direct combat. The campaign contains 10 handcrafted levels with different terrain and tactical situations. Enemy routes, resource positions, and base sites change between runs. Defend the base until data decrypts, then summon the mothership for extraction. The game also includes Nightmare, FPS-only, and RTS-only modes, plus leaderboards.
