Our take on Arrowstorm Ascendant
The reset-based structure sacrifices persistent progression: every new attempt removes earlier power-ups. That trade-off keeps card selection central to each run, but makes advancement depend on rebuilding rather than carrying a completed setup forward.
What is Arrowstorm Ascendant?
Arrowstorm Ascendant is a rogue-like shoot ’em up in which an archer fights waves of dragons and wyverns.
Each new wave brings stronger enemies and a choice of upgrade. Players assemble builds from green, red, and blue cards, selecting four green and four blue cards while red cards can be taken without a stated limit. Restarting removes previous power-ups, but runs provide gold coins for purchasing new upgrades. The game includes 50 cards, 11 selectable skins with individual advantages, and a boss encounter after reaching a specified number of waves. Leaderboards track score, defeated enemies, and collected coins, giving runs several ranking targets.
