Our take on Archery Club
The compact best-of-three format gives up the longer event structures found in broader sports simulations. Random mode selection also limits control over the precise sequence of each contest, making adaptation part of the design trade-off.
What is Archery Club?
Archery Club is a first-person archery competition game built around multi-part matches.
Each match uses at least two of three modes, selected in random order, and follows a best-of-three structure. Shortbow is a 30-second round focused on quick aiming and reflexes. Longbow gives each player three shots while the target moves farther away after every shot, bringing gravity and wind into play. Compound bow rounds require target choices, with higher-scoring targets being harder to hit. Players can select bows, find equipment pieces that strengthen them, and compete across different venues. Winning matches contributes to climbing the ranks.
How Archery Club plays
- 01Three archery modes
- Shortbow tests rapid aiming, Longbow changes target distance, and Compound bow adds decisions about score and difficulty.
- 02Random match structure
- Matches use at least two modes in a randomly selected order and are played as best-of-three contests.
- 03Bow improvement system
- Players can find pieces that strengthen their bows.
- 04Different venues
- Competitions take place in multiple environments.
