The run-based map variation gives the journey room to change, but the route is deliberately selective: Florida is excluded. That choice narrows the geographic scope even as the game sends its party across the country.
What is Apocalypse Run!?
After two weeks stranded in an Atlanta airport, four tourists set out across an America overtaken by the Apocalypse, aiming to reach Portland and recruit three scientists.
The journey combines travel across randomly generated maps with turn-based vehicle battles, boss fights, and face-to-face encounters with branching dialogue. Poker-based skill checks set harder tasks against stronger hands. The party can be customized with outrageous costumes and drawn from 15 character classes. Across three chapters, players encounter different twists, and can use 37 vehicles, 60+ weapons, and 30+ crafting recipes. The route excludes Florida, and the story also brings in rivals from the protagonist’s past.
