Our take on Antagonist
Rather than separating story and combat, the game places visual-novel choices, role-playing encounters, partner timing, and relationship changes within a hero-versus-villain production narrative.
What is Antagonist?
Antagonist combines visual-novel storytelling with role-playing elements.
Players control D’Vil, a Dark Lord working at Evil Productions, and join forces with Ralph, the Hero of Light, or Teeth, a cat burglar. Encounters against familiar foes use timed partner attacks to create combo moves. The story follows a conspiracy connected to the video game cutscene industry, while choices shape D’Vil’s relationship with Ralph. The game presents a conflict between cooperation and rivalry, asking whether the Dark Lord and hero will work together or oppose one another. Multiple endings provide different conclusions to the narrative.
How Antagonist plays
