The game spans five chapters, each with a dungeon and bosses, and uses turn-based combat with teams formed from eight magical girls. A time-management system links dungeon progress with Brie's mood and ten possible romantic relationships. Axon City contains six districts, more than two dozen shops, changing day/night and weather conditions, and activities that vary by time. Optional diversions include insect collecting and battles, a daily news episode, food and pub visits, and Mermaid Spikers matches. This edition rebalances combat and life simulation, adds five bosses, revises the InsectiVirus minigame, and includes interface and loading improvements.
