Our take on Alice's World
By keeping the player outside Alice rather than turning the player into a role-playing character, the game gives up avatar-based identity and conventional RPG progression. Its focus instead rests on directing one character, observing consequences, and solving environmental mysteries.
What is Alice's World?
Alice's World is a story-focused 2D adventure puzzle game set among ruined cities, abandoned structures, and unknown monsters.
Alice hears a voice from beyond the screen, and the player directs her actions as she investigates the world, avoids threats, solves mysteries, and seeks a route away from it. Choices can include helping, misleading, or harming Alice, and her memory reflects those actions. The game presents Alice as a character rather than an avatar for role-playing. All characters have voice performances, including Alice, voiced by Yoshino Aoyama. Exploration leads through distant towers and deserted ruins, while objects found in the environment can be combined to produce different interactive effects and open further puzzle possibilities.
