Play it if you…
Good fit- RTS fans who want base building and direct army command
- Players who prefer creating maps or campaigns instead of only playing included content
- Friends seeking local-network strategy matches against each other
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking turn-based planning may bounce off the real-time combat and fast match pace.
- Players wanting a single fixed campaign may find the mix of procedural, custom, and user-made content too open-ended.
- Players who require online multiplayer beyond a local network may not find a suitable multiplayer format.
- Players uninterested in editing or sharing custom content may leave much of the map and campaign tooling unused.
Our take on Age of Pixels
The bounce point arrives when real-time base management and combat begin together. Players who prefer turn-based decisions may hit that wall early, while creators may instead reach it when learning the map editor's trigger system.
