Our take on AfterWar
The game’s emphasis on wars unfolding across a large world map leaves less room for character-level stories or individual soldier development. Its core focus is directing countries and forces across changing frontlines.
What is AfterWar?
AfterWar is a strategy game played on a detailed map based on Earth’s real geography.
Players choose a country, manage its territory and direct it through wars. The map contains more than 25,000 sectors, each of which can change ownership or become part of a frontline. Battles unfold in real time across individual sectors as frontlines move in response to opposing actions. Players can move forces and choose attack directions. A session can involve expanding territory, defending borders, launching campaigns or trying to survive against stronger opponents. The game has single-player and multiplayer modes. Multiplayer sessions let players fight one another or form alliances. AfterWar supports 191 languages and was created by solo developer Dmytro Lumen.
