Our take on ACTION SANDBOX
The open-ended toy-building format leaves players to supply their own goals. That gives room for experimentation, but sacrifices a fixed campaign structure and a prescribed sequence of challenges.
What is ACTION SANDBOX?
In this physics-based sandbox, players build and direct virtual toys while assigning objectives.
Creations can walk, fire, fly, catch objects, ride, suspend themselves, strike, dance, generate entities, operate, or change form. Objectives include reaching destinations, fleeing, saving others, staying alive, eliminating or wrecking targets, racing computer-controlled opponents, and docking. Existing examples from the developer can be adapted instead of building anew. Finished toys can be published on Steam Workshop, alongside access to other players’ creations for use and further changes.
