What is 龙栖?
Set in 1995, this fantasy visual novel follows a college student who travels to Longqi Village to research Mother of Dragons culture.
The village’s traditions, ancient temple books, and a girl who manages them shape the research, while strange events and conflicts over faith, money, and inherited beliefs complicate the journey. Progress comes through reading text with voice acting, clicking through scenes, and selecting options at key plot points. Choices can trigger events and affect the ending; branch paths, reasoning elements, and timed choices add further interactions.
The game draws on Lingnan folk customs and dragon-mother culture, and uses realistic, thick-paint artwork rather than a traditional two-dimensional style. Its soundtrack includes five theme songs and more than 50 background music tracks, with over three hours of original music.
