Is 1Quest worth it for you?
We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Roguelike fans who want turn-based combat and repeated character-building runs
- RPG players who enjoy choosing among many classes, races, spells, and abilities
- Players who want dungeon exploration shaped by route choices and a fixed rescue deadline
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a relaxed RPG without a seven-day mission timer may find the pacing restrictive
- Players looking for a fixed, single-path adventure may not prefer its route variation and replay-focused structure
- Players who want a story-free dungeon crawler may not want the child-rescue and demon-summoning plot
Our take on 1Quest
Rather than using an open-ended adventure structure, this RPG places its rescue story under a seven-day limit. The deadline turns route selection and dungeon rewards into time-sensitive decisions, while roguelike replay value replaces a single fixed progression.
What is 1Quest?
1Quest is a turn-based roguelike RPG about a young adventurer pursuing a blood cult that has abducted children, including the kingdom’s princess.
The rescue mission has a seven-day deadline before the cult can sacrifice the captives to summon an ancient demon. Regions contain dungeons filled with hostile creatures, while different routes provide assistance and varied rewards. Combat involves fighting monsters, collecting loot, and developing the character. The game includes five races, 18 classes, more than 150 abilities and spells, over 100 monsters, and 20 dungeons with individual rewards. Its magic system uses spell schools and magical affinities to vary character development and repeat playthroughs.

1Quest compared to similar games
1Quest centers on turn-based roguelike play, route choices, dungeon rewards, and a seven-day rescue deadline. Planescape: Torment: Enhanced Edition is presented as an RPG focused on an unconventional story, characters, and exploration of a strange city, while Back to the Dawn focuses on surviving, investigating, and escaping a maximum-security prison. Tales of Symphonia presents an adventure about the fate of two interlocked worlds rather than 1Quest’s replay-focused dungeon structure.
