Our take on 18th Floor
The focus on checking rooms and reacting to abnormalities gives up the variety of combat and open exploration found in broader horror games. Its design concentrates on cautious observation, password discovery, and escape within one virtual building.
What is 18th Floor?
18th Floor is a horror escape game set in an abandoned virtual building created by a hacker known as “ghost.
” The player examines rooms for abnormalities and follows different instructions depending on what appears in the environment: turn around when an anomaly is found, or continue when none is present. The 20th and 19th floors are model rooms, while Room 0 is locked. Progress requires finding a computer and entering a password that may break the curse. The story connects the building’s dangers to the hacker’s isolation and code. Settings include camera shake, motion blur, and graphics presets. Camera vibration can be set to 0. 0, and the Low preset is suggested when graphics performance is insufficient.
